THE CURRENT WAVE OF CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY MUST BE TAKEN BEYOND SOCIAL MEDIA NOISE MOST REV. GODFREY IGWEBUIKE ONAH

The Fr Bishop has on Saturday June 18, 2022 stated that the current wave of our civic responsibilities must be taken beyond social media noise. He made this statement during his Episcopal address at Nsukka Diocesan pastoral council meeting. This is  to encourage the faithful, who have been expressing their interest in the forthcoming presidential election on the social media platforms, to get their PVC and vote for the right persons that can rescue the pitiable situation of our country Nigeria.

He added that we need to check whether our area of registration is still valid. In other words, if one cannot go to his original place of voting unit, there is still possibility of relocating to a more accessible polling unit around one’s locality. Far more importantly, the Bishop requested that our civic responsibility has to be sustained during and after the election if we need a solid change. Moreover, he reiterated that while voting, everyone should make effort to vote the right person without being sentimental to a particular party.
