Catholic Diocese of Nsukka Trains Priests in Project Management and Proposal
Nsukka, Enugu State- The Catholic Diocese of Nsukka held a training for some of her priests on Project Management and Proposal on June 28 and 29, 2023. The resource persons for the training were Dr. Collins Ogbu, a grant writing expert, and Dr. Joseph Uzoma who are both staff of Catholic Caritas Foundation of Nigeria (CCFN).
The training covered a wide range of topics, including how to identify funding opportunities, write effective grant proposals, and manage grant projects. The participants were given the opportunity to practice their grant writing skills by working on sample proposals.
At the end of the training, the participants expressed their gratitude to CCFN who sponsored the training and sent the facilitators. They also thanked the Diocese for providing them with the opportunity to learn about Project Management and Proposal. They thanked in a special way the Justice Development and Peace/Caritas Nsukka through which this opportunity came. Some of them who talked to the Shepherd said that they were now better equipped in Project Management and Proposal thanks to Catholic Caritas Foundation of Nigeria (CCFN).
Dr. Ogbu and Uzoma were also pleased with the outcome of the training. They said that the participants were eager to learn and that they had made significant progress in their project's management skills. They expressed confidence that the participants would be able to attract and manage successfully any project.
The training was part of the Diocese's ongoing efforts to support her priests in their ministry. The Diocese is also grateful to Catholic Caritas Foundation of Nigeria for sponsoring the training also sending the facilitators.
The training was a success and the participants were happy with the outcome. The Diocese is confident that the priests will be able to use their new skills to secure and manage important projects in the future.
